Geekbert Sighting: iPhone, Pogue, and Penance

Before I make my next post, I feel like I owe you an explanation. It has been over a month since my last post. I feel like I'm talking to a priest. Anyway, I set out on this blog adventure very ambitious-like with a post a day in the beginning. When summer hit, I barely had time to do the job that actually makes me money while being a full-time dad to my kids who were out of school for vacation. So eventually, blogging fell by the wayside.

Add to that the fact that I primarily write about things having to do with the Mac and since the advent of the iPhone, virtually all Mac news is connected to the iPhone. I'd like to say that I haven't been writing because I'm in the dark since I don't have an iPhone. The truth is, I am trying to stay somewhat in the dark about the iPhone because I can't get one right now and I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want one! I figure that anything I want that bad can't be good for me; it's not normal!

Put those things together and you get silence from Geekbert. However, I love David Pogue's video podcast and this week's video is a review of all the cool apps you can add to you iPhone with installer.app which you can get here. There's a great step-by-step at mattcutts.com.

If you have an iPhone and have tried any of these apps, I'd love to hear what you tried and how you like it.

Sorry I've been away so long. I'll try to get back into a more regular writing schedule soon. I've recently upgraded to iWork '08 and iLife '08. I'll try to review those as well as get you my take on Quicksilver that I promised before going MIA.
