Review: Text Expander

I love this great little app from smileonmymac.com. It's a real time saver. They've even made pre-programed snippet files available for free. TextExpander can automatically correct misspellings and typos as you type. The free file contains approximately 100 common mistakes. The incorrect versions are added to the TextExpander snippet library as abbreviations that are replaced by the correct versions when typed.

Watch the video to see how it works. At $29.95, it's not cheap but how much is your time worth?

Love that you are reviewing and showing me how to use this stuff!

I have a request though... I have always wanted you to take me thru a "Mac Boot Camp," because I just barely graze the surface of what I can do with my Mac. Maybe you could do a series just like this post that takes a novice like me thru some of the things I could do with my Mac...

Keep up the good work!

That's a great idea, Scott. I've been thinking about doing that for a while now. I'll work on it.

If anyone has any specific questions about mac basics, let me know via comments here or in a future post I'll be writing announcing the series.

I'll tag each of the posts so that they can be looked up together and followed like a course.
